Janis Ann Millspaugh-Oglesby, a.k.a. Buttercup, died suddenly June 25, 2014, at her home and is in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jan was born to Richard and Andrea Millspaugh in Colorado Springs. She graduated with honors from Mitchell High School and received degrees from the University of Colorado and a law degree from the University of Denver.

 

In 2003, she married her soul mate, John Oglesby and gained two wonderful children, Chelsea and Alex. Jan was employed previously by Bloch and Chapleau, and Thomas Plog. Jan was a member of the Colorado Bar, and Harvest Bible Chapel. Jan was a wonderful wife to John, and stepmother to Chelsea and Alex. She was an awesome daughter to Richard and Andrea and a great sister to Julie and Jenae and an unbelievable example for nephews Isaac and Joshua.

 

Jan is survived by her husband John (Aurora); Chelsea and Alex, and Alex's fiancé Kaitlin Rains. She is survived by her parents Richard and Andrea Millspaugh (Overland Park, KS); her sister Julie House and husband Jeff, nephews Isaac and Joshua (Clayton, NC); and sister Jenae Brown and fiancé Nelson Rodriquez (Walnut Creek, CA), and many family, and many, many friends. Jan's wish was that her body be given to science for advanced study to help others.
